{"id":5341,"date":"2017-04-25T11:18:47","date_gmt":"2017-04-25T17:18:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=5341"},"modified":"2017-04-25T11:18:47","modified_gmt":"2017-04-25T17:18:47","slug":"los-aminoacidos-que-podrian-sostener-la-vida-en-otros-mundos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/ciencia\/los-aminoacidos-que-podrian-sostener-la-vida-en-otros-mundos\/","title":{"rendered":"Los amino\u00e1cidos que podr\u00edan sostener la vida en otros mundos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sometiendo a unos amino\u00e1cidos artificiales a condiciones extremas, unos investigadores buscan pistas sobre la bioqu\u00edmica que se requerir\u00eda para sobrevivir en otros planetas.<!--more--> Est\u00e1n intentando identificar los amino\u00e1cidos (bloques de construcci\u00f3n que forman las prote\u00ednas y que son soporte de toda la vida en la Tierra) capaces de constituir de manera factible la base de seres vivos extraterrestres.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los investigadores han analizado c\u00f3mo una selecci\u00f3n de 15 amino\u00e1cidos, algunos existentes aqu\u00ed en la Tierra en organismos vivos y otros que no, soportan las condiciones extremas reinantes en otros planetas y lunas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En una ubicaci\u00f3n extraterrestre, las prote\u00ednas en un organismo no ser\u00edan necesariamente las mismas que posee uno terrestre, de modo que podr\u00eda utilizar amino\u00e1cidos conocidos por nosotros pero que la naturaleza no utiliza para elaborar prote\u00ednas en la Tierra. La meta principal de esta l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n es ver si existen caracter\u00edsticas estructurales de algunos amino\u00e1cidos que lleven a una mayor estabilidad en condiciones extraterrestres, y ver despu\u00e9s cu\u00e1les podr\u00edan ser dichas caracter\u00edsticas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El equipo de Claire Mammoser, de la Universidad de Valpara\u00edso en Indiana, Estados Unidos, somete a frascos de amino\u00e1cidos a situaciones extremas de temperatura, pH, radiaci\u00f3n ultravioleta, radiaci\u00f3n gamma y otras dise\u00f1adas para reproducir entornos existentes en Marte, Enc\u00e9lado (una luna de Saturno), y Europa (una luna de J\u00fapiter), tres astros en los que se cree que podr\u00eda haber vida simple. Haciendo un seguimiento de hasta qu\u00e9 punto cada amino\u00e1cido permanece intacto o se descompone bajo estas condiciones, el equipo busca patrones en la estabilidad de los amino\u00e1cidos con diversas caracter\u00edsticas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Encontrar tendencias en la estabilidad de los amino\u00e1cidos dar\u00eda pistas sobre cu\u00e1les de ellos ser\u00eda m\u00e1s factible encontrar fuera de la Tierra como piezas de seres vivos alien\u00edgenas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ahora que el equipo ha mejorado sus m\u00e9todos en un grupo preliminar de amino\u00e1cidos, est\u00e1 empezando una nueva ronda de experimentos usando otros que han sido extra\u00eddos de meteoritos y aquellos que se han creado en experimentos sobre el origen de la vida que se remontan a la d\u00e9cada de 1950. Esperan que la investigaci\u00f3n ayude a precisar las caracter\u00edsticas esenciales de los amino\u00e1cidos m\u00e1s indicados para sostener vida en otros mundos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
