{"id":5414,"date":"2017-05-02T12:23:39","date_gmt":"2017-05-02T18:23:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=5414"},"modified":"2017-05-02T12:23:39","modified_gmt":"2017-05-02T18:23:39","slug":"energizar-inalambricamente-dispositivos-electronicos-ingeribles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/ciencia\/energizar-inalambricamente-dispositivos-electronicos-ingeribles\/","title":{"rendered":"Energizar inal\u00e1mbricamente dispositivos electr\u00f3nicos ingeribles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Unos cient\u00edficos han ideado un modo de suministrar energ\u00eda de forma inal\u00e1mbrica a peque\u00f1os dispositivos electr\u00f3nicos que pueden permanecer en el tracto digestivo (gastrointestinal) indefinidamente tras ser ingeridos.<!--more--> Tales aparatos podr\u00edan ser utilizados para detectar el estado de dicho tracto, o para transportar dep\u00f3sitos de f\u00e1rmacos que permitan la liberaci\u00f3n de estos poco a poco a lo largo de un periodo largo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El nuevo dise\u00f1o es obra del equipo de Giovanni Traverso, ingeniero biom\u00e9dico en el BWH (Brigham and Women\u2019s Hospital), de Boston, Massachusetts, y Robert Langer, profesor en el Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Massachusetts (MIT), en Cambridge, ambas entidades en Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hallar una fuente energ\u00e9tica segura y eficiente es un paso esencial en el desarrollo de tales dispositivos electr\u00f3nicos ingeribles. Para conseguir que un dispositivo de este tipo resida en el cuerpo durante un largo tiempo hay que resolver primero el asunto del suministro energ\u00e9tico, tal como enfatiza Traverso. Disponer de la capacidad de transmitir energ\u00eda inal\u00e1mbricamente ofrece nuevas posibilidades.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La nueva estrategia est\u00e1 basada en la transferencia inal\u00e1mbrica de energ\u00eda desde una antena en el exterior del cuerpo hacia otra dentro del tracto digestivo. Este m\u00e9todo proporciona suficiente energ\u00eda para hacer funcionar sensores que podr\u00edan monitorizar el ritmo cardiaco, la temperatura o niveles de nutrientes o gases concretos en el est\u00f3mago.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En las pruebas realizadas hasta ahora, los investigadores pudieron suministrar de 100 a 200 microvatios de energ\u00eda a su dispositivo, lo cual es m\u00e1s que suficiente para energizar sistemas electr\u00f3nicos peque\u00f1os. Un sensor de temperatura que transmita inal\u00e1mbricamente una lectura de este tipo cada 10 segundos requerir\u00eda unos 30 microvatios, como tambi\u00e9n una c\u00e1mara de video que tome entre 10 y 20 fotogramas por segundo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En una serie de experimentos que se llevaron a cabo en cerdos, la antena externa pudo transferir energ\u00eda a lo largo de distancias de entre 2 y 10 cent\u00edmetros, y los investigadores comprobaron que la transferencia energ\u00e9tica no caus\u00f3 da\u00f1os en los
