{"id":5829,"date":"2017-06-06T11:58:28","date_gmt":"2017-06-06T17:58:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=5829"},"modified":"2017-06-06T11:58:28","modified_gmt":"2017-06-06T17:58:28","slug":"tecnologia-para-dar-a-los-robots-un-mejor-sentido-del-tacto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/robt\/tecnologia-para-dar-a-los-robots-un-mejor-sentido-del-tacto\/","title":{"rendered":"Tecnolog\u00eda para dar a los robots un mejor sentido del tacto"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hace ocho a\u00f1os, el grupo de investigaci\u00f3n de Ted Adelson en el Laboratorio de Ciencias de la Computaci\u00f3n e Inteligencia Artificial (CSAIL)<!--more-->, adscrito al Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Massachusetts (MIT), en Cambridge, Estados Unidos, present\u00f3 una nueva tecnolog\u00eda de sensores, llamada GelSight, que se vale del contacto f\u00edsico con un objeto para confeccionar un mapa tridimensional muy detallado de su superficie.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ahora, mediante el montaje de sensores GelSight sobre las pinzas de brazos rob\u00f3ticos, dos equipos de expertos del MIT han proporcionado a los robots una mayor sensibilidad y destreza.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Un equipo, el de Adelson y Wenzhen Yuan, utiliza datos del sensor GelSight para conseguir que un robot juzgue el grado de dureza de las superficies que toca, una capacidad crucial si los robots dom\u00e9sticos deben poder manejar objetos cotidianos, cuyo grado de dureza puede variar much\u00edsimo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El otro equipo, el del Grupo de Locomoci\u00f3n Rob\u00f3tica de Russ Tedrake en el CSAIL, emplea sensores GelSight para lograr que un robot manipule objetos m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os de lo que era previamente posible.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El sensor GelSight es, en cierta manera, una soluci\u00f3n de m\u00ednima tecnolog\u00eda para un problema dif\u00edcil. Consiste en un bloque de goma transparente (el \u201cgel\u201d de su nombre), una cara del cual est\u00e1 recubierta con pintura met\u00e1lica. Cuando la cara recubierta de pintura es presionada contra un objeto, se ajusta a la forma de este \u00faltimo.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/img_44227.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5830 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/img_44227.jpg\" alt=\"img_44227\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Un sensor GelSight unido a la pinza de un robot permite a este realizar operaciones de alta precisi\u00f3n sin programaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica previa. (Foto: Robot Locomotion Group at MIT)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La pintura met\u00e1lica convierte en reflectante a la superficie del objeto, as\u00ed que su geometr\u00eda se hace m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil de captar por parte de los algoritmos de visi\u00f3n computerizada. Montados sobre el sensor, en el lado contrario a la cara pintada del bloque de goma, se hallan tres luces de color y una \u00fanica c\u00e1mara.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El sistema posee luces coloreadas iluminando desde \u00e1ngulos diferentes, as\u00ed como este material reflectante, de modo que, mirando los colores, el ordenador puede discernir mejor la forma tridimensional del objeto implicado.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>En ambas series de experimentos, se mont\u00f3 un sensor GelSight en un lado de un sistema de agarre rob\u00f3tico, un dispositivo parecido en cierto modo a una pinza pero con superficies de agarre planas en vez de con puntas afiladas.
