{"id":5868,"date":"2017-06-08T11:47:24","date_gmt":"2017-06-08T17:47:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=5868"},"modified":"2017-06-08T11:47:24","modified_gmt":"2017-06-08T17:47:24","slug":"arm-desarrollara-chips-para-implantar-en-el-cerebro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/tech\/arm-desarrollara-chips-para-implantar-en-el-cerebro\/","title":{"rendered":"ARM desarrollar\u00e1 chips para implantar en el cerebro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Adem\u00e1s de chips para wearables y smartphones, donde es l\u00edder, ARM dise\u00f1ar\u00e1 chips implantables en el cerebro.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/ARM-chip.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5870 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/ARM-chip.jpg\" alt=\"ARM-chip\" width=\"610\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Las\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogthinkbig.com\/el-plan-de-elon-musk-para-unir-maquinas-y-cerebro-asusta-y-fascina-por-partes-iguales\/\">interfaces m\u00e1quina cerebro<\/a>\u00a0son una de las grandes promesas de aqu\u00ed a los pr\u00f3ximos 10 a\u00f1os, de acuerdo a lo que compa\u00f1\u00edas como\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogthinkbig.com\/lo-proximo-de-facebook-es-la-comunicacion-mediante-la-lectura-de-la-mente\/\">Facebook<\/a>\u00a0est\u00e1n presentando en sus conferencias, pero la implantaci\u00f3n de chips en el interior de nuestro cuerpo tendr\u00e1 m\u00e1s sentido primero en la ayuda con lesiones y enfermedades como la epilepsia, donde ya se est\u00e1n produciendo importantes avances en investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El \u00faltimo actor en unirse a esta carrera es\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/technology-39934506\">ARM<\/a>, la compa\u00f1\u00eda responsable de desarrollar la arquitectura de la mayor\u00eda de chips que se emplean en smartphones y wearables.<\/p>\n<p>La compa\u00f1\u00eda recientemente\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2016\/9\/5\/12798302\/softbank-arm-acquisition-complete\">adquirida por Softbank<\/a>\u00a0se ha unido a las investigaciones que est\u00e1n teniendo lugar en el Center for Sensorimotor Neural Engineering de la Universidad de Washington, donde requieren de procesadores para\u00a0implantes con los que luchar contra da\u00f1os cerebrales y espinales. Adem\u00e1s de permitir realizar movimientos y tareas a pacientes que hasta ahora estaban impedidos, la idea detr\u00e1s de los implantes es que vuelvan a sentir en extremidades.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Human-Brain-Project-neuron.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5869 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Human-Brain-Project-neuron.png\" alt=\"Human-Brain-Project-neuron\" width=\"610\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>La idea en esta primera etapa es unir, mediante un chip con todas las partes necesarias integradas (System on a Chip o SoC), las se\u00f1ales del cerebro con un estimulador instalado en la m\u00e9dula espinal, permitiendo as\u00ed el\u00a0control del movimiento. M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de este aspecto fundamental, la parte m\u00e1s complicada es hacer que el cerebro vuelva a percibir informaci\u00f3n sensorial.<\/p>\n<p>No s\u00f3lo es una cuesti\u00f3n de lograr una experiencia completa porque s\u00ed.\u00a0Mediante sentidos como el tacto se mejora el agarre de objetos\u00a0o la fuerza que aplicar en cada momento, y se evitan accidentes originados por tocar superficies muy calientes.<\/p>\n<p>El paso final es lograr no s\u00f3lo que estos dispositivos consuman muy poca energ\u00eda y generen un calor imperceptible por el cuerpo, tambi\u00e9n que no haya que prestar ninguna fuente de energ\u00eda externa o recargarlos mediante minibater\u00edas. En este sentido ya hemos visto como otras investigaciones apuntan a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogthinkbig.com\/los-implantes-corporales-podran-ser-potenciados-con-nanogeneradores-biodegradables\/\">biogeneradores degradables<\/a>\u00a0como forma de alimentaci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica. Para usos como el de ARM no est\u00e1 claro que sirvan, pero para estimular neuronas cumplen perfectamente con su cometido.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fuente:<\/strong>
