{"id":6428,"date":"2017-07-24T09:43:54","date_gmt":"2017-07-24T15:43:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=6428"},"modified":"2017-07-24T09:45:51","modified_gmt":"2017-07-24T15:45:51","slug":"encabeza-mexicano-en-la-nasa-a-grupo-de-disenadores-mecanicos-del-vehiculo-de-proxima-mision-a-marte","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/tech\/encabeza-mexicano-en-la-nasa-a-grupo-de-disenadores-mecanicos-del-vehiculo-de-proxima-mision-a-marte\/","title":{"rendered":"Encabeza mexicano en la NASA a grupo de dise\u00f1adores mec\u00e1nicos del veh\u00edculo de pr\u00f3xima misi\u00f3n a Marte"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>En 2012 se envi\u00f3 el Curiosity y ahora preparamos el que ir\u00e1 en 2020 en la misi\u00f3n Entrar, descender y aterrizar, refiere Luis Velasco, doctor en ingenier\u00eda<\/em><\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Luis Enrique Velasco Vel\u00e1zquez, originario de Chiapas (M\u00e9xico), es l\u00edder de un equipo de cient\u00edficos responsables del dise\u00f1o mec\u00e1nico del veh\u00edculo (r\u00f3ver) que explorar\u00e1 Marte en 2020, en el Laboratorio de Propulsi\u00f3n de Jets (JPL, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), de la NASA.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El grupo lo conforman 30 personas de todo el mundo y en \u00e9l se pondera la diversidad, en el sentido m\u00e1s amplio, y se impulsa la participaci\u00f3n de la mujer. \u201cTenemos mucho trabajo y entre otras cosas vemos la rob\u00f3tica, as\u00ed como toda la ciencia y tecnolog\u00eda para preparar el veh\u00edculo que va a explorar el Planeta Rojo; en 2012 se envi\u00f3 el Curiosity y ahora preparamos el que ir\u00e1 en 2020 en la misi\u00f3n \u00b4Entrar, descender y aterrizar\u2019\u201d, explica el especialista en software para dibujos en tercera dimensi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El veh\u00edculo cuenta con seis llantas, cada una independiente de las otras, y como parte de la exploraci\u00f3n deber\u00e1 recolectar rocas y sedimentos para el regreso a la Tierra, as\u00ed como reconocer los compuestos en aquel planeta, principalmente ox\u00edgeno, y se har\u00e1n evaluaciones sobre la posibilidad de crear combustible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adem\u00e1s, realizar\u00e1 la caracterizaci\u00f3n del terreno del aterrizaje y har\u00e1 c\u00e1lculos de temperatura y de velocidad del viento para tomar acciones ante ello. En pocas palabras, desde el JPL en Pasadena, California, se calculan ahora todos los riesgos que el r\u00f3ver puede enfrentar, y se prev\u00e9n los par\u00e1metros de seguridad para evitar los posibles errores. Se trata de una infraestructura enorme para un trabajo de log\u00edstica de la misma dimensi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A decir del cient\u00edfico mexicano, la misi\u00f3n Marte 2020 es la m\u00e1s importante para la NASA actualmente, y como parte de ella la creaci\u00f3n de este laboratorio de ciencias sobre ruedas es elemento fundamental.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cLa Agencia ya no lanza transbordadores, ya no busca llegar a la Luna porque se tiene todo el conocimiento de c\u00f3mo hacerlo, ahora va por nuevos retos, como llevar a seres humanos a otros planetas. La visi\u00f3n a futuro es enviar astronautas a Marte y colonizarlo\u201d, puntualiza quien estudi\u00f3 hasta la preparatoria en Tuxtla Guti\u00e9rrez, Chiapas, y termin\u00f3 su doctorado de ingenier\u00eda mec\u00e1nica en la Universidad de Brigham Young, en Utah (EU).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Luis Enrique Velasco relata que ha enfrentado diversos obst\u00e1culos antes de llegar al sitio que hoy ocupa, pero los mismos lo han fortalecido. Al llegar a EU no dominaba el idioma ingl\u00e9s y aun as\u00ed manifestaba que su meta era trabajar en la NASA, por lo cual fue motivo de burlas por sus compa\u00f1eros de clase.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ahora, el oriundo de Chiapas agradece a Dios las experiencias vividas, el haber logrado sus objetivos profesionales y la oportunidad de ser parte de uno de los proyectos cient\u00edficos m\u00e1s importantes de la historia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cComo joven no debes desistir de tus sue\u00f1os y debes poner todo de tu parte para lograrlos\u201d,
