A menudo se mueven dentro de las estructuras impresas, y el andamiaje blando impreso para sostener las c\u00e9lulas puede hundirse sobre s\u00ed mismo. Como resultado de ello, sigue siendo un reto imprimir tejidos vivos en alta resoluci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ahora, el equipo de Alexander Graham y Hagan Bayley, de la Universidad de Oxford en el Reino Unido, ha ideado una forma de producir tejidos en c\u00e9lulas autocontenidas que sostienen las estructuras para mantener su forma.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las c\u00e9lulas fueron colocadas dentro de gotitas protectoras del orden de los nanolitros, envueltas por un recubrimiento de l\u00edpido, que pueden ser ensambladas, capa a capa, para formar estructuras vivas. Producir tejidos impresos de esta forma mejora la tasa de supervivencia de las c\u00e9lulas individuales, y permiti\u00f3 al equipo superar a las t\u00e9cnicas actuales al construir cada tejido gota a gota, hasta alcanzar una resoluci\u00f3n mayor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El objetivo final de esta l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n y desarrollo es fabricar tejidos vivos tridimensionales que puedan mostrar los comportamientos y la fisiolog\u00eda b\u00e1sicos encontrados en los organismos naturales. Hasta la fecha, existen pocos ejemplos de tejidos impresos que tengan la arquitectura celular compleja de los tejidos nativos. Por lo tanto, el equipo de Graham y Bayley se centr\u00f3 en dise\u00f1ar una plataforma de impresi\u00f3n de c\u00e9lulas a alta resoluci\u00f3n, a partir de componentes relativamente baratos, que pudiera ser utilizada para producir tejidos artificiales con una complejidad apropiada a partir de una serie de c\u00e9lulas, incluyendo c\u00e9lulas madre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los investigadores esperan que, con un mayor desarrollo, dichos materiales puedan tener una amplia implantaci\u00f3n en la sanidad mundial. Entre las aplicaciones posibles est\u00e1 el dar forma a modelos reproducibles de tejido humano que puedan eliminar la necesidad de los ensayos cl\u00ednicos con animales.
