Por eso, hoy en d\u00eda los soldados suelen comprar la ropa de invierno en tiendas normales y corrientes. Por otro lado, esa ropa tampoco es capaz de proteger a los paracaidistas del adormecimiento de las extremidades si desembarcan en el \u00c1rtico. Por eso decidimos crear unos guantes que calentaran en condiciones extremas\u201d, declar\u00f3 Paola D\u2019Angelo del Laboratorio del Ej\u00e9rcito de EEUU en Natick (estado de Massachusetts).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Seg\u00fan la experta, su grupo se inspir\u00f3 en las investigaciones de sus colegas del Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Massachusetts (MIT), que el a\u00f1o pasado crearon dos \u00fanicos nanomateriales: una camisa con \u2018aire acondicionado\u2019 incorporado que enfriaba el cuerpo 3 o 4 grados y un nanocable, capaz de calentarse mientras a trav\u00e9s de \u00e9l se transmite la corriente y refleja el calor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aplicando esas dos ideas, los cient\u00edficos pudieron producir una tela de algod\u00f3n que se calienta por su cuenta hasta 37 grados Celsius en un solo minuto con el uso de una simple bater\u00eda AA o un elemento de corriente de un reloj de pulsera.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los guantes de esa tela especial ser\u00e1n m\u00e1s ligeros y finos que los de lana, cuero o sint\u00e9ticos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El material est\u00e1 compuesto de tres componentes: tela de algod\u00f3n, nanohilos de plata y recubrimiento polim\u00e9rico que protege el metal del agua pero al mismo tiempo deja pasar el aire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los cient\u00edficos indican que los nanohilos pueden aguantar varios lavados y serias cargas mec\u00e1nicas lo que permite usarlos en condiciones \u2018de combate\u2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Actualmente, el grupo intenta crear an\u00e1logos sint\u00e9ticos de tal nanotela que sean m\u00e1s resistentes a las cargas que el algod\u00f3n y combinarlos con otros nanomateriales. De tal modo, esperan, que ese tipo de tela pueda adaptarse a cualquier clima.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adem\u00e1s, los cient\u00edficos no descartan que en futuro se pueda utilizar esa tela innovadora no solo para el Ej\u00e9rcito de EEUU sino tambi\u00e9n para fabricar ropa de abrigo para la poblaci\u00f3n civil y amantes de los deportes extremos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
