{"id":7053,"date":"2017-09-13T08:38:59","date_gmt":"2017-09-13T14:38:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=7053"},"modified":"2017-09-13T08:38:59","modified_gmt":"2017-09-13T14:38:59","slug":"instrumento-capaz-de-detectar-cancer-en-10-segundos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/salud\/instrumento-capaz-de-detectar-cancer-en-10-segundos\/","title":{"rendered":"Instrumento capaz de detectar c\u00e1ncer en 10 segundos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Se ha inventado una potente herramienta que identifica de forma r\u00e1pida y precisa tejidos cancerosos durante una operaci\u00f3n quir\u00fargica, proporcionando resultados en unos 10 segundos, unas 150 veces m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido que las tecnolog\u00edas existentes.<!--more--> El instrumento es capaz de dar a los cirujanos una informaci\u00f3n precisa de diagn\u00f3stico acerca de qu\u00e9 tejido debe ser extirpado o conservado, ayudando a mejorar los tratamientos y a reducir la reaparici\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El nuevo dispositivo, creado por el equipo de Livia Schiavinato Eberlin, profesora de qu\u00edmica en la Universidad de Texas en la ciudad estadounidense de Austin, podr\u00eda aumentar much\u00edsimo las probabilidades de que los cirujanos eliminen realmente todos y cada uno de los vestigios de c\u00e1ncer durante la operaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El actual m\u00e9todo de vanguardia para el diagn\u00f3stico del c\u00e1ncer y para determinar la frontera entre este y el tejido normal durante una operaci\u00f3n quir\u00fargica, definible como an\u00e1lisis por criosecci\u00f3n, es lento y a veces poco preciso. Cada muestra puede requerir 30 minutos o m\u00e1s en su preparaci\u00f3n e interpretaci\u00f3n por parte de un pat\u00f3logo, lo que incrementa el riesgo de una infecci\u00f3n para el paciente y de efectos negativos debido a la anestesia. Adem\u00e1s, para algunos tipos de c\u00e1nceres, la interpretaci\u00f3n puede ser dif\u00edcil, produciendo resultados poco fiables en el 10 al 20 por ciento de los casos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sin embargo, en pruebas sobre tejidos extra\u00eddos de 253 pacientes humanos de c\u00e1ncer, el nuevo dispositivo precis\u00f3 solo unos 10 segundos para proporcionar un diagn\u00f3stico y tuvo una exactitud de m\u00e1s del 96 por ciento. Esta tecnolog\u00eda tambi\u00e9n consigui\u00f3 detectar c\u00e1ncer en regiones marginales entre los tejidos normales y los cancerosos, que presentaban una composici\u00f3n celular mixta.
