Los resultados se han presentado esta semana en la revista Nature Communications.<!--more-->Seg\u00fan explica a Sinc el ingeniero italianio Marco Dorigo, l\u00edder del trabajo, \u201cse trata de robots aut\u00f3nomos con sus propios sensores y actuadores, basados en el sistema operativo Linux, controlados por programas que hemos escrito. Estas m\u00e1quinas han sido dise\u00f1adas y construidas como parte del proyecto europeo de FET Open Swarmanoid\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dentro de esta iniciativa, \u201chab\u00edamos logrado que estos robots se autoensamblaran y, una vez conectados, se movieran usando los principios de autoorganizaci\u00f3n\u201d, indica. \u201cAhora hemos mejorado la coordinaci\u00f3n, a\u00f1adiendo un software de intercambio (middleware), que permite a la m\u00e1quina crear una especie de sistema nervioso\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hasta el momento, la mayor\u00eda de los aut\u00f3matas estaban controlados por sistemas nerviosos rob\u00f3ticos en los que sensores y actuadores estaban conectados a una unidad central de procesamiento. Sin embargo, por lo general estos sistemas se ajustaban estrictamente a la forma del robot, lo que limitaba la flexibilidad de sus capacidades, dicen los autores.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los nuevos robots modulares, dise\u00f1ados por Dorigo y su equipo, pueden adaptar sus cuerpos dividi\u00e9ndose y uni\u00e9ndose para convertirse en nuevas entidades rob\u00f3ticas independientes, eligiendo de manera aut\u00f3noma formas y tama\u00f1os apropiados, en respuesta a la tarea que tengan que realizar o del entorno.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Sistemas nerviosos rob\u00f3ticos<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sus sistemas nerviosos rob\u00f3ticos tambi\u00e9n pueden dividirse y fusionarse para mantener el control del sistema. Estos robots pueden incluso eliminar o reemplazar las partes que no funcionan correctamente para arreglar cualquier anomal\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entre sus posibles funciones se incluyen la detecci\u00f3n, elevaci\u00f3n y movimiento de objetos, como ladrillos.
