Estos bloques podr\u00edan utilizarse como los \u201cladrillos Lego\u201d para construcciones de tejido y potencialmente incluso micro-organismos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las c\u00e9lulas madre son c\u00e9lulas no especializadas que tienen la asombrosa capacidad de convertirse en muchos tipos de c\u00e9lulas diferentes del cuerpo. Al servir como una especie de sistema de reparaci\u00f3n para el cuerpo, pueden dividirse potencialmente sin l\u00edmite para reponer otras c\u00e9lulas que se hayan da\u00f1ado. Cuando una c\u00e9lula madre se divide, cada c\u00e9lula nueva puede seguir siendo una\u00a0c\u00e9lula madre\u00a0o convertirse en otro tipo de c\u00e9lula con una funci\u00f3n m\u00e1s especializada, como una c\u00e9lula muscular, un gl\u00f3bulo rojo o una c\u00e9lula card\u00edaca.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cFue muy emocionante ver que pod\u00edamos fabricar una\u00a0estructura embrioide\u00a0de una forma controlada.\u00a0El organismo embrioide fabricado es uniforme y homog\u00e9neo, y sirve como punto de partida para un mayor crecimiento de tejido mucho m\u00e1s eficiente\u201d, dijo\u00a0Wei Sun, responsable de la investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aunque existen otros m\u00e9todos comunes de\u00a0impresi\u00f3n\u00a0para estas c\u00e9lulas, aclara Sun, la mayor\u00eda son o en dos dimensiones (en una placa de Petri) o mediante el m\u00e9todo de \u2018suspensi\u00f3n\u2019, donde un \u2018estalagmita\u2019 de c\u00e9lulas se construye por el material que cae por la gravedad.
