{"id":8816,"date":"2018-02-15T09:06:57","date_gmt":"2018-02-15T15:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=8816"},"modified":"2018-02-15T09:33:38","modified_gmt":"2018-02-15T15:33:38","slug":"el-nivel-del-mar-esta-creciendo-a-una-velocidad-acelerada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/ecologia\/el-nivel-del-mar-esta-creciendo-a-una-velocidad-acelerada\/","title":{"rendered":"El nivel del mar est\u00e1 creciendo a una velocidad acelerada"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>El nivel del mar est\u00e1 aumentando cada vez con m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido<\/strong>.<strong>\u00a0Subir\u00e1 65 cent\u00edmetros en 2100 por fusi\u00f3n de las capas de hielo,<\/strong>\u00a0afirm\u00f3 un informe publicado en la revista Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las continuas\u00a0<strong>emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero<\/strong>\u00a0est\u00e1n calentando la atm\u00f3sfera, los oc\u00e9anos de la Tierra y derritiendo su hielo, lo que lleva a que aumente el nivel del mar, seg\u00fan un grupo de cient\u00edficos liderados por Steve Nerem,\u00a0 profesor de ciencias de ingenier\u00eda aeroespacial en la Universidad de Colorado-Boulder.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Se ha observado un crecimiento total de siete cent\u00edmetros durante 25 a\u00f1os de datos\u00a0directamente obtenidos mediante instrumentos en las costas y en los oc\u00e9anos a trav\u00e9s de sat\u00e9lites. Esto\u00a0concuerda con la tasa actual sobre el aumento del nivel del mar estimado en 3 mil\u00edmetros cada a\u00f1o, aunque la tasa no es constante.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El uso de informaci\u00f3n satelital\u00a0permite estimaciones m\u00e1s precisas del nivel global de los oc\u00e9anos, pues proporciona mediciones en mar abierto.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Esta aceleraci\u00f3n, impulsada principalmente por el deshielo veloz en Groenlandia y la Ant\u00e1rtida, tiene el potencial de duplicar el aumento en el nivel del mar para 2100 a m\u00e1s de 60 cent\u00edmetros en vez de 30, con respecto a las proyecciones hechas a partir de una tasa constante\u201d, expuso Nerem en un comunicado, quien tambi\u00e9n es miembro del Instituto Cooperativo de Investigaci\u00f3n en Ciencias Ambientales.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Y esa proyecci\u00f3n concuerda perfectamente con los modelos clim\u00e1ticos utilizados en el \u00faltimo informe del Panel Internacional sobre Cambio Clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las continuas emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero est\u00e1n calentando la atm\u00f3sfera, lo que hace que el nivel del mar suba de dos maneras. En primer lugar, el agua m\u00e1s caliente se expande, y esta \u201cexpansi\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica\u201d de los oc\u00e9anos ha contribuido a la mitad de los 7 cm de aumento del nivel medio global del mar que hemos visto en los \u00faltimos 25 a\u00f1os, explica Nerem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En segundo lugar, la fusi\u00f3n del hielo de la tierra fluye hacia el oc\u00e9ano, lo que tambi\u00e9n eleva el nivel del mar en todo el mundo.
