Un estudio publicado en la revista\u00a0Nanoscale\u00a0detalla una t\u00e9cnica efectiva para conseguir manipular de manera muy precisa una cadena de ADN y, simult\u00e1neamente, ver con gran resoluci\u00f3n lo que est\u00e1 sucediendo a lo largo de la mol\u00e9cula, por ejemplo, cuando interacciona con prote\u00ednas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El trabajo, realizado por investigadores del\u00a0Centro Nacional de Biotecnolog\u00eda\u00a0del\u00a0CSIC\u00a0(CNB-CSIC) en colaboraci\u00f3n con la\u00a0Universidad de Bristol, combina dos t\u00e9cnicas de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n utilizadas en biolog\u00eda molecular y biof\u00edsica. Una de ellas, las llamadas &#8220;pinzas magn\u00e9ticas&#8221; permiten estirar de manera muy controlada el ADN. La segunda, un tipo de microscop\u00eda de fluorescencia denominada &#8220;TIRF&#8221;, permite ver las mol\u00e9culas con alta resoluci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Hemos conseguido llevar la tecnolog\u00eda un paso m\u00e1s all\u00e1: hasta ahora aplic\u00e1bamos fuerzas sobre el ADN y \u00e9ramos capaces de detectar cambios en la extensi\u00f3n de la mol\u00e9cula, pero no pod\u00edamos visualizar la causa de esos cambios&#8221;, explica Fernando Moreno-Herrero, investigador del CNB-CSIC y director de esta investigaci\u00f3n. &#8220;Con este trabajo ponemos a disposici\u00f3n de toda la comunidad cient\u00edfica nuevas herramientas que permiten aplicar fuerzas muy precisas para estirar una mol\u00e9cula de ADN y, al mismo tiempo, visualizar qu\u00e9 prote\u00ednas se unen a ella o qu\u00e9 procesos est\u00e1n teniendo lugar&#8221;, apunta Julene Madariaga-Marcos, autora principal de este trabajo e investigadora del CNB-CSIC. Seg\u00fan asegura la cient\u00edfica, &#8220;los equipos y la tecnolog\u00eda con la que contamos en nuestro laboratorio para hacer este tipo de investigaciones es \u00fanica en Espa\u00f1a&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">M\u00e9todos similares que combinan herramientas de manipulaci\u00f3n y de visualizaci\u00f3n han permitido ver el ADN mientras se desensambla un virus o ver en acci\u00f3n a las prote\u00ednas de reparaci\u00f3n del material gen\u00e9tico. En este trabajo, los investigadores demuestran la utilidad de combinar las pinzas magn\u00e9ticas y microscop\u00eda TIRF para visualizar c\u00f3mo se une la prote\u00edna ParB -implicada en la segregaci\u00f3n y condensaci\u00f3n del cromosoma bacteriano- a lo largo del ADN de la bacteria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Fuente: Madrimasd<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Referencia bibliogr\u00e1fica:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>J.
