Scott Mungu\u00eda, un joven mexicano \u2014 alumno del Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) \u2014 ha desarrollado un biopl\u00e1stico hecho a base de semilla de aguacate. Este material se degrada m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido que los pl\u00e1sticos convencionales, hechos con hidrocarburos.<\/p>\n
En la actualidad existen otros biopl\u00e1sticos, como el fabricado con c\u00e1scaras de camar\u00f3n, desechos de champi\u00f1ones o con ma\u00edz. Sin embargo, este biopl\u00e1stico en particular destaca por no ser obtenido de una fuente alimenticia \u2014 como cuenta Scott Mungu\u00eda a la Agencia Informativa CONACYT.<\/p>\n
El biopl\u00e1stico tiene dos caracter\u00edsticas fundamentales: que se obtiene de fuentes vegetales y que es biodegradable [\u2026] Pero tiene el mismo comportamiento que el pl\u00e1stico que todos conocemos.<\/p>\n
Para la fabricaci\u00f3n de este biopl\u00e1stico se extrae el biopol\u00edmero de la semilla de aguacate, el cual posteriormente se modifica qu\u00edmicamente para convertirla en el insumo principal para la producci\u00f3n \u2014 de biopol\u00edmero se convierte en pl\u00e1stico biodegradable.<\/p>\n
Este biopl\u00e1stico tiene la capacidad de degradarse en 240 d\u00edas, o un poco m\u00e1s, dependiendo de las condiciones ambientales y la presencia de microbacterias. En este momento el producto creado por Mungu\u00eda ha llegado a su etapa final, seg\u00fan informa Radio BUAP.<\/p>\n
En cuanto a esta tecnolog\u00eda no habr\u00e1 m\u00e1s trabajo, esta tecnolog\u00eda ya est\u00e1 completa, no pensamos desarrollarla m\u00e1s porque ya lleg\u00f3 a un punto de dise\u00f1o que cumple los objetivos trazados.<\/p>\n
Sabemos que el aguacate es un fruto que ofrece muchos beneficios y que sucultivo est\u00e1 afectando ciertas zonas. as\u00ed que esperemos que este producto tenga un modelo realmente sostenible. Por otra parte, el beneficio que ofrece a degradarse tan r\u00e1pido, hace que lo consideremos viable.<\/p>\n
