conseguido neutralizar un gen que produce severos da\u00f1os cerebrales y duplica el riesgo de padecer Alzheimer.<!--more--><\/h4>\n<h4>Hablamos de la prote\u00edna apoE4, seg\u00fan los investigadores el poseer este gen dobla el riesgo de una persona de padecer Alzheimer en el futuro, sin embargo, si en lugar de una copia tienes dos, incrementas el riesgo hasta 12 veces.<\/h4>\n<h4>La organizaci\u00f3n de investigaci\u00f3n biom\u00e9dica en el Instituto Gladstones en San Francisco ha llevado a cabo los an\u00e1lisis gracias a las donaciones de pacientes con dos copias del gen apoE4 y fueron comparadas con gente que no posee esta prote\u00edna.<\/h4>\n<h4>Los resultados sugieren que la presencia de apoE4 causa da\u00f1o cerebral y este se podr\u00eda detener neutralizando este gen.<\/h4>\n<h4>Han comprobado con \u00e9xito en un laboratorio la neutralizaci\u00f3n de esta prote\u00edna en las c\u00e9lulas y creen que ser\u00eda posible probarlo en pacientes m\u00e1s adelante.<\/h4>\n<h4>Seg\u00fan el autor del estudio publicado en la revista Nature Medicine, Yadong Huang, uno de los problemas con los que m\u00e1s tienen que lidiar es que tienen que probar sus investigaciones en ratones y estos no reproducen igual la enfermedad que los humanos.<\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Fuente:
