El uso desmedido del pl\u00e1stico que se ha convertido en un grave problema ambiental ha inspirado a un grupo de cient\u00edficos investigadores del\u00a0Departamento de Qu\u00edmica de la Universidad de Colorado<\/strong>, en EUA, para crear un pol\u00edmero con propiedades similares al pl\u00e1stico comercial que se\u00a0utiliza actualmente con la diferencia de tener la capacidad de ser reciclado indefinidamente.<\/h4>\n

Este nuevo material que ya\u00a0ha sido patentado fue presentado en la revista\u00a0Science<\/strong><\/em>, donde se afirmo que\u00a0al ser\u00a0reciclado no\u00a0pierde ninguna de sus propiedades, y es realizado de manera simple por medio de un catalizador y su exposici\u00f3n\u00a0a\u00a0cierta temperatura,\u00a0devolvi\u00e9ndolo as\u00ed a\u00a0su estado original.<\/h4>\n

La base de este nuevo producto es el\u00a0mon\u00f3mero\u00a0Gamma Butirolactona<\/em>\u00a0que hab\u00eda sido desarrollado por el mismo equipo hace tres a\u00f1os, pero con la novedad de solucionar\u00a0varios problemas detectados durante su producci\u00f3n haciendolo\u00a0amigable con el medio ambiente e industrialmente realista. Esta alternativa no procede del petr\u00f3leo, sino de productos vegetales.<\/h4>\n

Los creadores de este revolucionario material se\u00f1alan que el pol\u00edmero s\u00f3lo se ha probado dentro de los laboratorios, actualmente se esta trabajando para seguir perfeccionandolo y desarrollar nuevas rutas de proceso para que incluso puedan llegar a ser m\u00e1s rentables.
